Installation only - and that is the point

Plenty of homeowners in Los Angeles buy their kitchen directly: IKEA SEKTION, a semi-custom line, a cabinet warehouse in the Valley, or an online RTA supplier. What they need is not a designer and a markup on cabinets. They need a crew that installs correctly. That is this service.

What correct installation actually means

• A level reference line first. We laser a level line around the whole room before a single box goes up. Almost no kitchen floor in Los Angeles is level, and cabinets set to the floor instead of to a laser line produce doors that will never align.
• Boxes shimmed and joined. Cabinets clamped, aligned face-to-face and screwed together, then anchored into framing - not into drywall.
• Scribed fillers. Walls are not straight. We scribe fillers and panels to the wall so there are no tapered gaps.
• Blocking for heavy items. Wall cabinets loaded with stone crockery need blocking, not hope.
• Doors and drawers aligned. Every hinge adjusted in three axes so reveals are consistent. This is the step that separates a professional install from a weekend one.
• Counters, sink and appliances. Template, install, plumb the sink and disposal, set and connect the appliances, seal everything.
• Trim and toe kick. Crown, light rail, filler panels, scribe moulding and toe kick so nothing reads as a kit.

What we handle beyond the boxes

Removal and disposal of your old kitchen, wall repair and paint behind the cabinets, minor electrical and plumbing adjustments to line up with the new layout, backsplash tile, and under-cabinet lighting. If your layout needs a circuit added or the sink moved more than a few inches, that becomes a full kitchen remodel and we quote it that way.

Cost

Installation-only labour for a standard ten to fifteen cabinet kitchen generally runs $2,400 to $6,500 depending on cabinet count, filler and panel complexity, and whether counters, tile and appliances are in scope. IKEA installs sit at the lower end because the hardware system is consistent. RTA cabinets from unknown suppliers sit higher because the boxes are frequently out of square and require correction.

Yes, frequently. We know the SEKTION rail system and the common planning errors in IKEA layouts, and we will flag them before install day.

What if parts are missing or damaged?

We inspect the delivery first, which is why we ask for it a few days before we start. Missing parts found on day one stall the whole job.

Can you install cabinets I bought online?

Yes. Be aware that low-cost RTA boxes are often out of square and take longer to correct, which affects labour cost. We will tell you what we see.

Do you do the countertops too?

Yes, we coordinate template and installation with our fabricator, or work with yours.
