Installation and connection of a dishwasher into an existing kitchen cabinet run. The job covered removing the old unit, adapting the opening, connecting the water supply, waste and electrical, levelling the machine and securing it to the cabinetry so it does not tip when the loaded door is opened. The drain hose was fitted with a high loop, which is the detail most commonly missed and the reason a dishwasher backs up dirty water into the tub. We pressure-tested the connection and ran a full cycle before leaving, checking for leaks at the inlet, the waste and the door seal. We install and replace dishwashers, disposals, ranges, hoods, washers and dryers. Doing it properly costs little more than a delivery-crew swap and avoids the cabinet damage that follows a slow leak.
