Cabinet bottom replacement

Replacing the base of a kitchen sink cabinet after a slow supply-line leak had destroyed the particleboard floor of the unit. This is one of the most common calls we get, and one of the most worthwhile repairs. The cabinet carcass and doors are usually sound; it is only the deck under the sink that has swollen and collapsed. Replacing that panel costs a fraction of a new cabinet run and takes a few hours rather than days. Our crew removed the failed material, checked the framing and the subfloor beneath for spread, cut and fitted a new sealed panel, and confirmed the source of the leak was repaired before closing up. We finish the new deck so a future leak sits on the surface instead of soaking in. If the base of your sink cabinet feels soft underfoot or smells musty, it is worth looking at before the damage reaches the floor structure.
