Replacing the base of a kitchen sink cabinet after a slow supply-line leak had destroyed the particleboard floor of the unit. The cabinet carcass and doors are usually sound; it is only the deck under the sink that has swollen and collapsed. Replacing that panel costs a fraction of a new cabinet run and takes a few hours rather than days. Our crew removed the failed material, checked the framing and the subfloor beneath for spread, cut and fitted a new sealed panel, and confirmed the source of the leak was repaired before closing up. We finish the new deck so a future leak sits on the surface instead of soaking in.
