Loaded racking that is not tied back to the wall structure will walk and tip, particularly in a seismic area, so our crew assembled the units square and anchored them to the wall framing rather than relying on freestanding stability. The layout was planned around the vehicle door track, the existing electrical, and the swing of the car doors, so the storage does not make the garage unusable for the thing it was built for.
