Our crew assembled and commissioned a prefabricated home sauna cabin, handling the build from flat-pack delivery through to a working, ready-to-use room. The work covered levelling and preparing the base, assembling the wall and roof sections square and plumb, fitting the benches and backrests, hanging and adjusting the glass door so it seals correctly, and installing the interior lighting and heater guard. The electrical connection for the heater was made to the manufacturer's specification, with clearances to combustible surfaces checked before first firing. Saunas are unforgiving of a sloppy build: a cabin that is out of square will not seal, and a door that binds will let heat out. We test-ran the unit to operating temperature and checked for gaps before handing it over. Assembly of a typical home cabin takes one to two days.
